more clicks through the winning Ad (for the same budget)
cheaper for a potential customer to click on her best performing Ad
Summary
Read this Case Study to see how MDH spent $150 testing 4 ad creatives into her selected audience. After 3 days, she learnt which ad creative worked best and gave her the most traffic for the lowest price. The whole process, from start to launch took her less than 15 minutes and did not require any design skills or digital marketing knowledge.

Company Overview
My Designer Handbag (MDH) launched in October 2019 as New Zealand's first luxury handbag rental service.
My Designer Handbag founder Aleisha wanted to offer something new, desirable and meaningful. Aleisha has worked in NZ's fashion industry for over 18yrs and started MDH to make luxury items a more sustainable business.

The Problem "How do I reduce the cost of bringing new business to my website through Facebook Paid Ads.
Aleisha's business like many SMEs we've come across is common. "How can I run Ads that actually give me "good" results on Facebook and Instagram? Aleisha has used Facebook Paid Ads try to bring in new purchases, however, her current method of Boosting her Ads is giving her very little success because it's costing her too much money. Her last Ad she ran with a Boosted post, which was a Traffic Based Objective cost $4.20 per link click. Simply put it, it's costing Aleisha too much money to bring in more sales by adverting through paid media and needs help.
How Otterfish helped....
Aleisha signed up with Otterfish which is a platform that allows her to build and run Ads effectively, and easily. She started by linking her Facebook account to the platform and then used our Ad creation tool to build a variety of Ads using some Stock Images, and Images she owns through one of our template Sets.
The process of Building 4 Ads took her 5 minutes to build, she didn't need any other tools other than Images to use. When she was happy with a template set, she then saved them to her Library.
Running Smart Ads
After she created variations of her Ads, she then built an Audience in Facebook that best fit to her brand. The Audience was 40,000 people. She then imported this audience into Otterfish. Next, she created a Smart Ad (test), to run 4 Ads against each other to understand which is giving her the best results FIRST before using the majority of her budget. For this campaign, Aleisha had $350 to spend. She decided to put $150 on the 4 Ads she ran into Facebook which meant she spent just under $40 per Ad. Since she has an online store, she chose "traffic" as her campaign objective.
It took Aleisha 8 minutes to set-up and launch the Smart Ads.
The results...
What she learnt...
Aleisha took $150 and spent it running 4 ACTUAL Ads to her chosen audience over 3 days. At the end of that test, Otterfish found her the best Ad Creative to serve to her chosen audience.
Her winning Ad had a 58.82% lower cost per click compared to her worst performing ad. This means she is getting traffic to her website cheaper by using this particular Ad. The Click-through-rate (CTR) was also 209% better - meaning more than double the number of people clicked this ad compared to her worst performing Ad (for the same budget!).
These two metrics meant this winning Ad also yielded 142.86% more clicks than her worst performing ad (for the same budget).
Now Aleisha knows that if she spends the rest of her marketing budget on this particular Ad, it’s going to give her the best return on investment.
She can launch this winning ad back into the audience with more budget IN A SINGLE CLICK!

"Using Otterfish I am starting to see improved results through every Campaign I run. Using the Ad tool instead of Boosting has increased my sales with the same amount of budget! Highly recommend for any small business who finds Facebook Ads Manager a challenge".
